I do NOT know how to make it any SIMPLER than I stated in Reason for your review:

The model number is on the bottom of my crockpot.
Perhaps I should have taken a picture of the above-referenced information in the bottom of my crockpot!
WHY ON EARTH DID YOU EVEN BOTHER TO CONTACT ME, without providing the COST of the lid I requested?
I am an 80 yr old widowed great-grandmother, and your contact did what VERY FEW PEOPLE have accomplished doing, for years. You amazed me, by the exercise in futility you displayed, by putting into writing, the absurdity exhibited.
IF IF IF there is ANYONE at your company that cares enough to try again - PLEASE DO SO.
One of my dearly beloved great-granddaughters dropped the lid (IT WAS HOT! Lesson learned, at my crockpot lids expense).
I NEED A REPLACEMENT LID!!!

Verified ReviewerCrock-pot tried to burn down my house
In October of 2020, my Crockpot caught fine while on low in my kitchen. I had just turned it on And was adding ingredients when it sparked and caught fire.
Fortunately, I was standing right there and knew how to extinguish an electrical fire. My counters are ruined, but it could have been much worse if I wasnt right there and able to quickly put out the fire. This crockpot had only had limited use in the past and wasnt that old.
I called crockpot the next day and was assured that they would take care of the issue and my ruined counters. I needed to send them the crockpot so they could determine what had happened, and get estimates for the cost to replace my counters.
I spent time doing what they asked. I was told it could take 2 months to finalize my claim.
After 2 months passed, I hadnt heard anything so I followed up. The representative that I had been dealing with told me that the lab engineer who investigated these claims was out and it would be a while longer.
In January, I was told they didnt have the claim paperwork and I needed to resubmit. I had copies, so I did that.
They then told me they were unable to evaluate my crockpot because it was damaged. Of course it was, it was faulty and had caught fire. Crockpot argued that it was damaged in shipping to them. I reminded them that my crockpot had been with them for 3 months, and the additional damage must have happened in their facility.
I was escalated to a supervisor in February who told me their assessment was final, and they stopped responding to me.
In april, another supervisor emailed me telling me that they were sorry for the inconvenience, and they were reopening the case to take care of this for me.
They then followed up to say that the crockpot caught fire because of improper cord storage and would not specify what that means. I do not know how you could improperly store a cord, but the crockpot sat neatly tucked in a cabinet when not in use.
Now in July 2021, I reached out to them via Facebook and was told that there legal department was taking over and would help me. Then the same supervisor emailed me back telling me the decision is final. I have even contacted the Newell Brands Ceo on LinkedIn only to be ignored.
All I ask is that my claim is processed so I can replace my counters 9 months later.
Crockpot has deliberately given me the runaround in hopes that I would just go away. It is my hope that by filing this, there will be some accountability and crockpot will do the right thing after 9 months of lies in addition to nearly burning down my home.
